Who should Attend?

If you currently have the Alternative Structure, it will help you better understand and strengthen your board.

If you are interested in finding out more about how the Alternative Structure works, you should attend. Gain knowledge and information to make a decision to move your church toward this governing board. *

*Approval of your District Superintendent and a coach is required to move to the Alternative Structure!

This will be a General Introduction to the Alternative Structure and will be most useful to churches looking to structure for more effective governance.

Annual Picnic

The Ozarks District Office Would like to invite Clergy and their Family to the Annual District Picnic

Join us for a time of fun, food & fellowship

As well as a time to get to know the new Pastors and their families.

The Picnic will be held at the Springfield Lake Boathouse in Springfield MO. This is an Air Conditioned Facility with a beautiful view of the lake. We will provide the main course of Fried Chicken, Baked Beans, and Corn on the Cobb, Potato Salad, Corn Bread,Biscuits & Drinks.

Please Bring a Dessert

Lawn chair (if you plan to sit outside)

Serve 2013 Workshops

Planning for SERVE 2013 is in full swing! We have set the date for September 7 & 8 this year and look forward to an exciting weekend. In preparation for an effective service event, we are providing workshops around the state for our host United Methodist churches. These workshops will provide conversation around reaching out to genuine need in our communities, building lasting relationships, and sharing our faith. To see and share our workshop promotional video visit the SERVE website at www.serve2013.org.

As an incentive we are offering the first five unique churches to register for each workshop a package of free promotional items including; a full-color 4’ x 8’ banner, a full color 2-sided yard sign, and 10 free event t-shirts. If they are not one of the first five churches to register, that’s ok because there will be at least 10 more chances to receive this promotional package at each SERVE 2013 workshop event.
